Each year the Pope Team goes to the mountains of North Carolina to walk the fields and find Premium Fraser Fir Christmas Trees.

Tagging

Cut Down only a week before Thanksgiving
After each tree is inspected and a 360 degree "walk around" has been completed the tree is tagged as a Pope Tree and for the height the tree measured.

Only a few days before Thanksgiving the trees are cut down and loaded into a reefer truck.
Refrigerated Transportation

The trees are transported by road and kept fresh by being refrigerated.
